To Honor Our Veterans and Their Families! July 4th in Garden Valley

 With that patriotic theme in mind, the GARDEN VALLEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE is pleased to announce the schedule for what promises to be another spectacular celebration of the 4th of July. All activities will be held on Monday, July 4th, in and around the CITY OF CROUCH:

08:00-11:00am Pancake Breakfast at the GV SENIOR CENTER kicks off the morning’s events with pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns, juice, and coffee for only $5.00.

8:30am Golf cart parade and 9:00am shotgun EMT Benefit Golf Tourney sponsored by TERRACE LAKES RESORT for the benefit of the CROUCH VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE.

09:00-09:20 11th Annual Flag Raising Ceremony at GARDEN VALLEY PROPERTIES features CUB SCOUT TROUP 310 presenting the colors, the STARLIGHT MOUNTAIN THEATRE Singers, and General Jack Kane (Ret.) with a short and moving tribute to nation's birthday.

10:00am-4:00pm Street Vendors and Crouch Farmers Market in downtown Crouch with Children's Games in Weilmunster Park.

10:00-11:00am Fun Run/Walk at Weilmunster Park, sponsored by the DIRTY SHAME SALOON and GARDEN VALLEY FITNESS.

10:00-11:00 "Dress Up Your Favorite Pooch" event in Weilmunster Park. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place most patriotic pooch!!! Sponsored by CANINE CLIPPER and OUTFITTERS TRADING POST.

11:00am-4pm Don’t miss Cowboy Fast Draw behind the DIRTY SHAME SALOON. You, too, can be a Gunfighter - $5 for 10 shots. Be sure to dress the part for pictures with your favorite gunslinger.

12:00-2:00pm Middlefork of the Payette River Race, from the Community Church parking lot to the Crouch Bridge. Bring your favorite floating device!!! Winner will receive two seats on a half-day raft trip on the Main Payette River. Entry fee is $2.00 per person, which entitles you to a groovy IWU scarf and a shuttle ride to the drop off point. You must be signed up to win. All minors must have parents/guardians wavier signed, all adult entrants must sign a waiver and all participants must wear life jackets, no exceptions. If you don't have a life jacket you can donate $2.00 towards the fireworks fund and use one of IWU's. Sponsored by IDAHO WHITE WATER UNLIMITED

4pm Duck Race on the Middlefork River sponsored by LES BOIS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION Ducks are $5.00 each and can be pre-purchased at the Credit Union a couple weeks before the 4th or you can purchase them on the 4th at the Chamber Booth located next to the old Merc. Prizes are $100 for 1st, $75 for 2nd and $50 for 3rd.

5:15pm Parade contestants marshal into position at the STARLIGHT MOUNTAIN THEATRE parking lot. Note: Parade order is determined by arrival time.

6:00pm 4th of July Parade in downtown Crouch, Idaho. The Parade will start at 6pm from the STARLIGHT MOUNTAIN THEATRE parking lot and end at the Rodeo Grounds. All are welcome to participate. 8:00pm Presentation of “The Wizard of Oz” begins at STARLIGHT MOUNTAIN THEATER; Parade winners and other prize awards will be announced at 8 pm at the Longhorn Stage.

•10:00pm Fireworks!! This event has been professionally produced by LYNN NOKES and his crew and continues to be a crowd pleaser as well as a fitting finale for this year’s Garden Valley To Honor Our Veterans and Their Families tribute.
