GV Market on the 4th!

Hello,
We are heading into the July 4th week, which is full of fun activities around the Valley. We hope you enjoy your Holiday on the 4th and let’s all remember to focus on safety during the upcoming fireworks celebrations.
At the Market, we’ve stocked up in anticipation of a busy week. If this weekend begins to sell us down, we have a delivery on Sunday and then again on Wed, the 4th in the early am….so we feel we have your needs covered. We apologize in advance if we run out of a popular product.
To plan for family BBQ’s don’t forget to check out our meat and chicken and hot dog value buys. As a fun treat, we brought in good ole fashioned watermelon “with” seeds to keep with the tradition.
Finally, feel free to park at the Market on the 4th. We’ll have designated parking areas for those that want to park and walk to the Park or into the downtown core for fireworks. We’ll reserve some spaces for customers going in and out and we’ll have some blocked off for the soap box derby at 12:30 that day.
Have a great Holiday week and we look forward to your next visit!!!!!!

GV Radio Live on the 4th!

Garden Valley's "Golden Eagle Radio"

July 4 is the kickoff day for Garden Valley Radio, which will be called "Golden Eagle Radio" for now. Beginning at 10 a.m., announcers will provide information on the station and the July 4 events in Crouch, from the headquarters next to the old library. Broadcasting will be  on loud speaker for folks in Crouch.
Golden Eagle Radio will be providing music, book signings and author interviews, until parade time. After the parade, it will provide credit to the sponsors of the various events and the winners of each event. Sponsors of each event should go to the station and give them the sponsor name, activity name and winners' names.
If you are an author, join in and talk about your book, between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Here's the schedule so far:

Rich Smith interview and book signing -- 11:30 am
Elaine Ambrose interview and signing -- 4:30 and 5:30 pm
Gretchen Anderson interview and signing -- 5:00 pm

Thanks to Larry Leasure for providing the headquarters building and to Rex LeFevre for leading the effort on the radio. The website, presently under construction and updating, is found at http://www.gardenvalleyradio.com/

GV Summertime Market !

Welcome to Summer 2012! We have your Summer needs covered at the Market, with products ranging from Summer fruits, vegetables and meats, to Summer activity items such as rafts and float tubes to hiking books, coolers, cups, pitchers, ice cream makers and accessories and more! Come on in and discover the wide range of products with great value pricing.

Don't forget to check out the sale on Kerr canning jars, as it ends on June 27th!

Produce has great buys this week and you'll love the fresh corn, the watermelon and the berries. The cherries have been getting good reviews and we even carry cherry pitters.

This weekend is the Terrace Lakes Arts and Wine festival and the Crouch Farmers Market. When you’re out and about, stop by and see us.
Soon the 4th of July will be upon us. We're excited to be a sponsor for the first annual Soap Box derby for the local Cub Scout and Boy Scout troop. Come on down on the 4th to our Parking lot to see these handmade cars race each other. The scouts are so excited and they will be out in the community looking for additional funding help, such as sponsoring a car.

Don’t forget to “like” us on Facebook. Our page is updated daily with specials, recipes, menu items and more! We look forward to your next visit.

Notes from GV Market

We hope this message finds everyone well and with your power restored after Monday’s storms! We were pleased our Generator kicked on immediately and ran the entire evening saving our perishables and allowing the store to operate normally.

In any event, we have alot happening in Crouch this weekend and hopefully you can join us. The International Kayak races began Saturday and will run this weekend. Shuttles are available. Contact Idaho Whitewater Unltd. 462-1900 to find out times and locations for shuttles and events.

Starlight Mountain Theatre season began and they’re off and running. Stop in the deli for a quick bite before the performance!

What’s happening at the Market? Well, the 30 day deals for June are on in full force. There is a great $5.00 coupon value which is a combination of Keebler Graham Crackers, Hershey chocolate bar and marshmallows for smores of course. We were out of stock on Keebler Graham crackers, so we are honoring the coupon with Western Family Graham Crackers. Don’t forget to take advantage of the other coupon for canning jars. We have plenty available and can order throughout the month.

On a bittersweet note, our butcher of 10 years, Annie, has officially decided to retire for the 20th time in her life. Annie worked many years for Safeway and Winco prior to retiring from each. We always joked she was retired already……she just decided to work a couple of days a week for us. She leaves a lasting legacy of bringing quality custom cut meats to the valley. Annie was a great teacher so we have other meat cutters ready to continue her great work. She’s not leaving the valley and you’ll see her at the Farmers Market and other craft events throughout the year.

The great deals at the Market continue and we look forward to your next visit!
