Boise National Forest Release
Hello all,
We are tracking a burn window for burn block 1 of the Rocky Canyon project for Wednesday, April 3rd, 2013. We will be ordering a light helicopter that will be in Garden Valley, Tuesday, 4/2/2013, at 1200 for a recon. Tentatively, we will be releasing the ship Friday morning, depending on adjacent district burn needs and weather conditions.

Jurisdiction: Emmett Ranger District, Boise National Forest, Boise County
Location: Middle Fork of the Payette River near tie creek/Forest Boundary, Township 11N, Range 4E, Section 1, Lat. 44.2354 Long. 115.9185
Acres- 1573.
Briefing will be at 0900 on Wed. 4/3/2013 at the helibase
Estimated ignition time is 1200 on Wed. April 3rd 2013.
Estimated completion of ignition is 1700 on Wed. April 3, 2013 (may be some clean up ignition on April 4th)
Burn will be supported by Garden Valley resources Boise IHC, Helitack and Patrol 61
RMEF is supporting this burn with dollars, which is good.
Notices will be put in local businesses and signs will be put out before we burn.
Patrols will be in place and some moisture is forecasted for Thursday.
