July 4th Just Around the Bend! Want to Help?

Crouch and Garden Valley are THE place to be for the 4th of July. The word from the Chamber:

Here's where we are so far with the events for the 4th of July. We're still waiting to hear about some of the possible events and Diane will keep you posted as we get more. If you, or your business, would like to help with the Chamber Booth or to sponsor an event, please let Diane Caughlin know. 

Les Bois Federal Credit Union will be sponsoring the annual Duck Race; Ducks are $5 each and can be pre-purchased at the Credit Union after a couple weeks before the 4th, or you can purchase them on the 4th at the Chamber Booth located next to the old Merc. Prizes are $100 for 1st, $75 for 2nd and $50 for 3rd; thank you so much Les Bois Federal Credit Union for your generosity! All proceeds will go towards the cost of the 4th of July Celebration!

Duck Race starts at 4pm on the 4th.

8:00-11:00: Kicks off the morning's events with a Pancake Breakfast at the GV Senior Center. $5 for Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Sausages, Hash Browns, Juice and Coffee.

9:00-09:20: 11th Annual Flag Raising Ceremony at Garden Valley Properties.

*****Features Cub Scout Troup 310 presenting the colors, The Starlight Mountain Theatre Singers and Gen. Jack Kane (Ret), with a short but moving tribute to the nation’s birthday.*****


10:00am-4:00pm: Street Vendors and children’s games in the park.

10:00-11:00: Fun Run/Walk--starting place will be posted at a later date; the event is sponsored by The Dirty Shame Saloon and Garden Valley Fitness.

10:00-11:00: Canine Clipper has joined forces with Outfitters Trading Post to sponsor the "Dress up your favorite Pooch" event on the 4th of July in Weilmunster Park. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place most patriotic pooch!!!

10:30-11:30: Sign up for the River Race, bus leaves GV Market at 11:30.

12:00-2:00: Middlefork of the Payette River Race, from the community church parking lot to the Crouch Bridge. Bring your favorite floating device!!! Winner will receive 2 seats on a ½ day raft trip on the Main. Entry Fee is $2.00 per person, which entitles you to a groovy IWU Scarf and a shuttle to the drop off point. All minors must have parents/guardians waiver signed; all adult entrants must sign a waiver and all participants must wear life jackets, no exceptions. If you don’t have a life jacket,  you can donate $2.00 towards the fireworks fund and use one of IWU’s. Sponsored by Idaho White Water Unlimited.

11:00-12:00: Bean Bag Toss Game in Weilmunster Park, prizes for all players.

12:00-1:00: Water Balloon Toss Game in Weilmunster Park, prizes for all players.
Sponsored by Castle Mountain Homes

1:00-2:00: Ring Toss Game in Weilmunster Park, prizes for all players.
Sponsored by Middlefork Magic on the River, Cabin Rental and Catering

2:00-3:00: Patriotic Potato Sack Race in Weilmunster Park, prizes for all participants. Sponsored by Middlefork Trading Post

Just got word, there will be a Horseshoe Tournament on the 4th of July at Garden Valley Motors! Thanks Garden Valley Motors for taking it on, I'll give you more information as we figure it all out!

Don't forget the Golf Scramble and Silent Auction at Terrace Lakes, all to benefit the very wonderful Crouch Volunteer Ambulance Service!!!

6:00pm: Thank you Garden Valley Market GV Idaho, for sponsoring the 4th of July Parade in downtown Crouch, Idaho. The Parade will start at 6pm from the Starlight Mt. Theatre Parking Lot and eventually end up at the Rodeo Grounds. GV Market will give out gift cards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. For more information, please contact John Jauregui, at 462-2437.

10:00pm: Fireworks
