Spring at the Market!

It’s a busy month for us here at the Market. We continue to Spring Clean meaning we’re completing our project of shelf redesign – out with the old and in with the new – type of thing.
To help cope with our Spring Fever, we’ve brought in some beautiful fresh flowers (3.99 each bundle or 3 for $10) and flowering Spring bulbs ($3.99 per pot). Of course, Easter items are arriving which include candy, baskets, plastic eggs, and all the fixins for a nice family celebration.

St Patrick’s Day is next week and the Cabbage and Corned Beef is already here. More arriving this coming Sunday!

We’ve also brought in some new small appliances for your convenience. Electric griddles, waffle makers, mixers, slow cookers, rice cookers, coffee makers, coffee urns, blenders, and more. It’s nice to know you have an option if your appliance goes on the fritz and you just don’t have the time to run to Boise or you don’t want to wait until your next trip.

Hopefully you’ve visited the Your Hometown Grocer website (www.yourhometowngrocer.com). This website is shared by all Associated Foods Independently owned stores such as ours. On the website you’ll be able to download coupons and by providing your email, you’ll receive e-coupons throughout the month to use at the store. Recipes and the 30 day deal specials are printed on the website – just like on our own. By sharing, we’re able to cut down on the cost of joining a coupon distributor and all of the online coupons can be retrieved from yourhometowngrocer.com.

Don’t forget to submit your 200 word essay on what makes our town unique. Submit to the hometown grocer website for a chance to win an Apple iPad and submit a copy to us to win store level prizes. All entries are due by March 30th.

Have a great Weekend and we look forward to your next visit.

Garden Valley Library to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!

The Garden Valley Library has been in its new location for one year, so we will celebrate our first anniversary with a St. Patrick’s Day Party!  We have accomplished several milestones this last year, but there are still some goals to be reached.  One of the major goals is to pave the parking lot.  Since this will be expensive, the Friends of the Library will sponsor a “Silent Auction” at the St. Paddy’s Day Party.  We are asking local merchants and business people as well as other folks for donations to be auctioned off at this event.  Are you an Artist?  Service provider?  Crafter?  Could you help participate in this community effort?  Your donation would be most graciously accepted, and remember, it will also be a tax deduction for you as a charitable donation.
Our party will be held on Saturday, March 17th, at 3:00 p.m. at the Library.  There will be live music, singing, refreshments, and an opportunity to bid on some wonderful items in the auction.
If you would like more information regarding making a donation, please call Kathy Passie at 462-8092, Christy Jauregui at 462-2437, Richard Wilson at 462-2250 or the Garden Valley Library at 462-3317.
This will be a really fun event, so circle your calendar for Saturday, March 17th at 3:00 p.m.  Wear your Green and come celebrate our first anniversary!
